Forme Living Co. Warranty

At Forme Living Co, we design furniture for modern Australian living — thoughtfully made, compactly delivered and made to be enjoyed at home.

This Warranty explains the voluntary warranty coverage that applies to Forme Living Co products, including what is covered, what is excluded, how to make a claim and how warranty support works over time.

Forme Living Co is operated by Arlo Living Home Pty Ltd. In this policy, “Forme Living Co”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Arlo Living Home Pty Ltd trading as Forme Living Co.

Warranty periods

Forme Living Co offers:

  • a 5-Year Limited Warranty for sofas, accent chairs, ottomans and sofa modules
  • a 1-Year Limited Warranty for smaller accessories, add-ons, removable covers, care items and other non-structural products, unless a different warranty period is stated on the product page

Warranty coverage starts from the date of delivery.

Who the warranty applies to

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

It applies only to products:

  • purchased directly from Forme Living Co
  • used in a normal residential home setting
  • used indoors only
  • cared for in accordance with Forme Living Co’s care instructions
  • kept within Australia after delivery

The warranty does not apply if the product is resold, gifted, transferred, purchased second-hand, purchased through a third-party seller, purchased through a reseller, purchased through a marketplace, purchased via Facebook Marketplace or private resale, or purchased from an unauthorised seller.

The warranty is void if the product is relocated outside Australia after delivery.

Commercial use

This warranty applies to normal residential home use only.

It does not apply to products used for commercial, rental, Airbnb, short-stay accommodation, property styling, staging, office, hospitality or other business purposes.

Excluded sale items

The voluntary warranty does not apply to clearance items, final sale items, floor stock, display stock, seconds, samples or “as-is” items, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Items discounted by 35% or more are excluded from change-of-mind returns and the 30-Day Comfort Guarantee, but are not excluded from warranty coverage solely because of the discount unless they fall into one of the excluded categories above.

5-Year Limited Warranty for eligible furniture items

The 5-Year Limited Warranty applies to eligible furniture items.

Eligible furniture items include sofas, accent chairs, ottomans and sofa modules.

Years 1–2

During the first 2 years from delivery, the warranty covers eligible manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that affect the product’s structure, function or reasonable use.

This may include eligible manufacturing defects in:

  • product structure
  • foam
  • cushions
  • covers
  • zippers
  • stitching
  • seams
  • legs
  • connectors
  • hardware
  • included components

For approved warranty claims during years 1–2, Forme Living Co may provide a suitable replacement part free of charge, including standard delivery within Australia.

Refunds will be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Years 3–5

During years 3–5 from delivery, warranty support is limited to eligible manufacturing defects affecting the core structure and functional components of the product.

This may include eligible manufacturing defects in:

  • core structure
  • foam
  • major cushion collapse caused by a manufacturing defect
  • legs
  • connectors
  • hardware

During years 3–5, approved replacement parts are supplied at Forme Living Co’s cost price, and the customer is responsible for the applicable delivery cost.

Fabric covers, stitching, seams, zippers, cosmetic finishes and general upholstery appearance are excluded after year 2, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

1-Year Limited Warranty for accessories and non-structural products

Smaller accessories, add-ons, removable covers, care items and other non-structural products are covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty from the date of delivery, unless a different warranty period is stated on the product page.

This warranty covers eligible manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that affect the product’s function or reasonable use.

It does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, stains, odours, accidental damage, pet damage, improper cleaning, poor care, fading, pilling, comfort preference, change of mind or damage caused by use outside the intended purpose of the product.

Compression and expansion

Because some Forme Living Co furniture is delivered compressed, please allow up to 48 hours after unboxing for your item to fully expand, settle and take shape.

Minor wrinkles, creasing, softening, settling or shape variation after unboxing is normal and is not considered a defect unless it materially affects the product’s structure, function or reasonable use.

What the warranty covers

This warranty covers eligible manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that affect the product’s function, structure or reasonable use.

Depending on the product and warranty period, this may include:

  • structural defects caused by manufacturing issues
  • foam expansion faults
  • major cushion collapse caused by a manufacturing defect
  • manufacturing defects in stitching, seams, covers or zippers during the applicable coverage period
  • faulty legs, connectors or hardware
  • defects in included components during the applicable coverage period

The warranty does not cover minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the product’s function, structure or reasonable use.

What the warranty does not cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • comfort preference
  • change of mind
  • normal wear and tear
  • normal softening of foam over time
  • minor compression or settling from regular use
  • fabric fading or discolouration
  • pilling
  • minor colour variation between batches, screens or product photos
  • general upholstery appearance changes over time
  • stains, spills, marks or liquid damage
  • odours, smoke exposure, mould or dampness
  • pet hair, pet odours, scratching, chewing or other pet damage
  • burns, cuts, tears, dents, scratches, punctures or impact damage
  • accidental damage caused by children, pets, guests, visitors or household use
  • damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect or poor care
  • damage caused by harsh chemicals, bleaching, soaking, abrasive cleaning, machine washing, steam cleaning or cleaning methods not recommended by Forme Living Co
  • damage caused by sunlight, heat, humidity, moisture, dampness, outdoor use or unsuitable environments
  • damage caused by moving, transporting, storing or handling the product incorrectly after delivery
  • damage during house moves
  • damage caused by dragging, dropping or improper lifting
  • damage caused by damp, humid or unsuitable storage
  • incorrect assembly
  • modifications or alterations
  • unauthorised repairs
  • use with non-Forme Living Co parts, covers, legs, hardware or accessories
  • commercial, rental, Airbnb, short-stay accommodation, property styling, staging, office, hospitality or other business use
  • products relocated outside Australia
  • products purchased from unauthorised sellers, resellers, marketplaces, second-hand sales or private resale
Care requirements

To keep the warranty valid, customers must follow Forme Living Co’s care instructions, use the product indoors only and keep it in a normal residential environment.

The warranty may not apply where damage is caused by outdoor use, improper cleaning, moisture, heat, direct sunlight, pets, misuse, poor care, unsuitable storage or use outside the product’s intended purpose.

Making a warranty claim

To make a warranty claim, email hello@formeliving.com.au as soon as reasonably possible after noticing the issue.

Please include:

  • your order number
  • proof of purchase
  • delivery date, if available
  • a written description of the issue
  • clear photos or videos showing the issue
  • photos of any product label, batch label or identifying details, if available

Waiting too long to contact us may make it harder to assess the issue and may affect whether the claim can be approved, especially if the delay causes further damage or makes the original issue unclear.

If you notice a potential issue, please stop using the product where continued use may make the issue worse. Warranty claims may be declined if the customer continues using the product after noticing the issue and that continued use causes further damage.

Assessment of warranty claims

We reserve the right to assess each warranty claim before approval.

This may include requesting additional photos, videos, written information, product labels, batch details or arranging an inspection of the product.

Customers must provide reasonable access for inspection, collection or assessment if Forme Living Co needs to review a warranty claim in person. If reasonable access is not provided, the claim may be delayed or declined.

Approved warranty claims

If a warranty claim is approved, Forme Living Co may provide a suitable replacement part where appropriate.

For sofas, accent chairs, ottomans and sofa modules:

  • during years 1–2, approved replacement parts are supplied free of charge, including standard delivery within Australia
  • during years 3–5, approved replacement parts are supplied at Forme Living Co’s cost price, with delivery paid by the customer

Refunds will be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

If a product, fabric, colour, cover, component or replacement part is discontinued or unavailable, Forme Living Co may provide the closest available replacement part. Exact colour, fabric or finish matches cannot always be guaranteed.

Replacement parts and warranty period

If a replacement part is supplied under warranty, the original warranty period does not restart.

Warranty coverage continues from the original product delivery date.

Declined warranty claims

If a warranty claim is assessed and found not to be covered, the customer may be responsible for any return shipping, inspection, replacement part, handling or redelivery costs.

Costs not covered by this warranty

Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, this warranty does not cover indirect, incidental or extra costs, including:

  • loss of use
  • time off work
  • inconvenience
  • third-party assembly
  • third-party disassembly
  • moving costs
  • storage costs
  • disposal costs
  • replacement furniture hire
  • other incidental or consequential costs
Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Warranty limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a replacement, refund or compensation where required by law, including where a product has a major failure or fails to be of acceptable quality.

This Warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
