What to Expect When Unboxing
Your sofa arrives compressed and vacuum-sealed in compact boxes. We recommend unpacking it in the room where it will be used and using only the safety cutter provided—never scissors or blades.
Once opened, your sofa will begin expanding immediately. Allow up to 72 hours for the foam and fabric to fully settle into shape. Exact timeframes may vary depending on room temperature, airflow and how long the sofa remained compressed during transit.
Temporary creasing or compression marks are completely normal. Gently shape and plump the cushions as they expand. Using a garment steamer on the fabric will help release creases and can considerably speed up the settling process.
Materials
Forme sofas and occasional chairs are upholstered in 100% polyester fabric, chosen for its soft texture, durability and practical everyday finish.
Care Instructions
To maintain the look and feel of your sofa, gently vacuum the fabric on a regular basis using a low-suction setting and a soft upholstery attachment where possible.
Attend to spills as soon as they happen by pressing a clean, dry cloth or paper towel over the area to absorb moisture. Avoid scrubbing, as this may spread the spill or work it deeper into the fabric.
Do not use bleach, abrasive products, strong chemical cleaners or solvent-based treatments, as these may affect the colour and finish of the fabric.
Where possible, position your sofa away from prolonged direct sunlight to help minimise natural fading over time.

Unbox in place
Bring the compact boxes into the room where your sofa will live. Open the packaging carefully using only the safety cutter provided - never scissors or blades.
Unwrap and shape
Remove all plastic completely to give the foam plenty of airflow. Your sofa will begin expanding immediately. Position the pieces, then gently shape and plump the foam as it recovers.
Steam, settle and enjoy
You can enjoy your sofa straight away while it continues to expand. A garment steamer will help smooth the fabric and speed up recovery. Allow up to 72 hours for your sofa to settle into its full Forme.
